Mr. C. Henry, a few miles east of town died Wednesday evening, from a kick by a horse received Monday. Mr. Henry was an old citizen of our county, having come here when quite young. He as a good citizen, and industrious, honest man and a zealous mason, and was well liked by all that knew him.
B-204 from Friday, Sep. 17, 1886:
According to announcement some time ago, Fairfield Lodge went to Antioch Church last Sunday and performed the usual burial service at the grave of Mr. Conrad Henry, a member of the Lodge who died sometime ago. It was the regular appointment of Eld. W.B. Childs, and quite a large number was in attendance.
After religious, services were over, the Masons proceeded in procession to the arbor, where preaching was had, and after going through with the ante-burial service, they marched to the grave near by and concluded their ceremony. The grave is fittingly marked by a handsome marble monument about eight or nine feet high, of fine quality and nice workmanship. The shaft marks the resting place of a good true man. Though he walked in humble life, the county had not a more industrious, hardworking and strictly honest man than Conrad Henry.
