She was the daughter of Bill and Elsie (Bates) Dameron. She was a medical assistant for many years before retiring and then loved babysitting children. She married Bob Pingleton on Dec. 3, 1952, in Waldron, Ark. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Haileyville. Besides her child care, she enjoyed gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Pingleton; parents, Bill and Elsie Dameron, and one brother, Benny Dameron. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, at Haileyville First Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Russell officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of Hartshorne.
