Dustin Troy Kitchen of Herriman, Utah, age 37, left this life on August 10, 2008, as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident. We will all miss him but his passion for life will live on. Dustin loved his family and friends. He considered his friends part of his family. Just last week, at a wedding, he publicly expressed how much he loved them and how important they were to him. Dustin was the life of every party!

He was born July 19, 1971 to Lloyd and Linda Kitchen. He grew up in Sandy, Utah, and graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1989. He married his high school sweetheart, Nicole Turpin on April 4, 1991. She passed away on May 6, 1993. He was fortunate to find his soul mate, Stephanie Mickel. They were married on May 15, 1999. Dustin has three beautiful children, Kelsey (17), Karson (7) and Kole (4). He referred to them as his 'Koyote Kids.' Dustin's successful career with Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream began in 1996; he was currently the Zone Sales Manager. He loved his job and will be deeply missed by the entire Dreyer's family. Dustin absolutely loved the great outdoors. He enjoyed spending time fishing on the family boat, Maverick. He was a successful hunting guide for Big Mountain Outfitters where he shared his talents with people from all over the country. However, his true outdoor passion was predator calling. He competed in numerous calling contests and in January 2008 he held his own Coyote Calling Championship. He was proud of this accomplishment and was excited to make this an annual event.

Dustin is survived by his wife, children, parents, siblings: Kelli (Brad) Brown, Daren, Brandon (Danielle), Jami (Eric) Hokanson, in-laws Tom and Monica Mickel, brother-in-law Matthew (Ashley), his grandparents, Margie Richards and Raymond and Marjorie Peterson.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 15 at noon at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park & Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive (1500 East). Friends may call on Thursday, August 14 from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the Funeral Services.
