Richard Alan Pfingston (Rick)
Richard Alan Pfingston died unexpectedly on Saturday, June 18, 2005. He was born in Evansville, Indiana on October 1, 1952, the third child of Paul and Mildred Pfingston. Born in Evansville, Indiana, he moved to the Tacoma area in 1960. He was a graduate of Mount Tahoma High School. Rick was an avid fisherman and enjoyed taking his sons fishing. After working the commercial fishing trade in South East Alaska he returned to Tacoma and resided in this area his entire life. In addition to his military service, Rick learned the construction business with his uncle and cousin and continued to enjoy his skills helping numerous family and friends with home projects. He is survived by his parents Paul and Mildred Pfingston, life partner and mother of his two younger sons Christine Langlois, 5 sons, Clayton, Jamie, Kevin, Carl, and Joey; brothers, Danny (Gayle), Michael, David (Marylyn) Pfingston, and sister Lydia (Ray) Knoll; 4 nieces, 3 nephews, and numerous great nieces and nephews. And of course, his faithful canine companion "Bob". He will be greatly missed by all for his quick wit and spirited nature. Rick cared deeply for his sons and was very proud them. A donation account to benefit the educational needs of his children has been established in Rick's name at Heritage Bank. Service will be on Thursday June 23, 2005 at 1:00 o'clock in the afternoon at Fir Lane Funeral Home. Until we meet again, your loving family.
