FROM THE FORT WORTH STAR TELEGRAM, Nov. 6, 1951
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Shannon Memorial Chapel for the former Fort Worth couple and son who were killed Sunday in an automobile accident in New Mexico. The bodies of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Blankenstein and Robert Ray, 5, will be sent to Fort Worth from Deming, N. M., where they were taken after the accident which occurred 32 miles farther west. Rev. L. D. Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill. The victims were enroute from here to their home at La Mesa, Cal. The accident was termed the worst automobile crash in New Mexico history. Three occupants of the other car which collided with the Blankenstein vehicle and a woman riding with the Blankensteins also were killed.

Services 11:00 Thursday morning Shannon Memorial Chapel. Dr. L. D. Anderson officiating. Interment Rose Hill. Arrangements Shannon.
