W/O Stanley StevensRose J. Stevens, 92, died peacefully at the Bailey Center, April 17, 2016, with her family at her side. She was born in 1923, one of six children, to George and Lilly May Kersey in Hastings, Florida. She was a loving and devoted, daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol (Geoffrey) Young; siblings, Dorothy Mesuita, Loretta Kersey, Clyde (Hilda) Kersey; sister-in-law, M. Elizabeth Kersey; grandson, David A. Young; great-grandchildren, Dylan A. Young and Ryan G. Young, Amanda Welsh, Elizabeth Niedbalski, Hope Lefler, Rebecca Lefler, Faith Lefler, and Bethany Lefler; and 12 nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband: Stanley Mahr Stevens, children: Cheryl Ann Stevens, David Stanley Stevens, and siblings: Irene May Hughey and Harold Kersey.
There will be a visitation from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2016, at Craig Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2016, at Craig Funeral Home followed by burial at Pellicer Creek Cemetery.
Craig Funeral Home Crematory Memorial Park (www.craigfuneralhome.com) is in charge of arrangements.
