New Berlin, Nov. 25 - Services for Clarence J. Ballweg, 53, of R. R. 2, New Berlin, who died at 7 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 24) at St. John's hospital, Springfield, will be held Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic church here. Burial will be in Berlin cemetery.

Mr. Ballweg was born at Springfield on Nov. 10, 1895, a son of Jacob and Mary Burkhardt Ballweg, and was never married. He was a veteran of World war I and had been a farmer in this community. He leaves two aunts, Mrs. Josephine Dodge of Abilene, Kan., Mrs. Emma Ballweg, of Springfield, several cousins, one brother-in-law, John Elliott, with whom he resided, and three nieces, all of New Berlin. - IL State Journal, Springfield, IL, Friday, 11-26-1948
