He was born September 23, 1909 in the Oak Level Community of Marshall County, KY. He was the oldest living member of Oak Level Methodist having joined at age 14. He was a school bus driver in Reidland School district, a grocer, farmer and carpenter.
Mr. Nance is survived by three daughters, Shirley (Bob) Fuqua of Venice, FL,
Freida (Don) Brandt of Albany, OR, and Frances (Bill) Ashley of Hernando, MS; four grandchildren, Chris Young of Southaven, MS, Jennifer Brandt of Raleigh, NC, Craig Young of Wildwood, MO, and Nicki Marquez of Salinas, CA and
five great grandchildren, Kyle Young, Kristen Young, Brandon Marquez,
Sofia Marquez and Joseph Young.
Mr. Nance was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Ward Nance, brother, James Nance, three sisters, Elta Ivey, Hazel Powell, and Kathleen Nichols and his parents Joe E and Josie Nance.
