"Al" Berio served in the US Navy as Chief Torpedoman in the Southwest Pacific Theater during WW II. He was a prisoner of the Japanese at Fukuoka POW Camp #1 - Kashii (Pine Tree Camp) Kyushu Island 33-13o and forced to work in the mines. After liberation he md: Melba Marguerite ITTER and they lived in Mexico and Florida.
