His mother, Almira Love, received a Mother's pension. She was a resident of Bennington County, Vermont. She was the widow of Lucius G. Love who died 3 Oct 1852, in the state of Wisconsin, where they had removed. They were married at Pittstown, New York, in 1832. Almira Love died in 1903.
