GILMER - Services for Shirley "Dick" Witt, 70, Gilmer, are set for 2 p.m. Monday at Croley Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Dr. David Jenkins and Percy Bailey officiating.
Burial will be in Rosewood Cemetery.
Mr. Witt died Saturday at a Gilmer hospital after a long illness.
Born Feb. 1, 1913, in Sweetwater, he was a carpenter. He lived in Upshur County about two years. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Edwina Witt, Gilmer; sons Dale Witt, Gordon, Fred Massey, Bog Spring; daughters, Lou Ann McMurray, Fort Worth, Sharon White, Hawkins; brothers, Hugh Witt, Grand Prairie, Howard Witt, Crockett, Calif., Leslie Witt, Cartwright, Okla., Cecil Witt, Truth or Consequences, NM, Sam Witt, Anaheim, Calif.; sister, Mable Soechting, Wimberley; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
