JAMES WALKER ADKINS - Eighty years old of Hager died Saturday in a Huntington hospital following a long illness. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, he was a retired farmer. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Elba Dingess of Alkol, Mrs. Myrtle Wheeler of Hager; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Emma Dean Baker of New Martinsville; seven sons, Leonard Adkins of Clinton, IA., Herbert Adkins, Sherlie Adkins, Clifford Adkins, all of Hager, Okel Adkins, Alva Adkins, both of East Liverpool, OH, Willard Adkins of Smiths Ferry, PA; one sister Mrs. Lillie Cooper of Hager and 45 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the Koontz Funeral Home with Elder Glenn Sharp and Elder Ernest Sharp officiating. Burial will be in the Adkins Cemetery.

Note: Emma Dean Baker was a daughter of Howard Carper and Rosie Adkins Carper and was a niece of Walkers wife Martha Jane.
