Services will be held on Saturday, August 23, 10:00 a.m., at Colusa Cemetery, for Arlan Keith Gardner who passed away on August 8, 2003, at the Veterans Hospital in Menlo Park, CA.

Born August 23, 1928, in Kalispell, MT., Mr. Gardner lived in Montana and Washington as a child. Served in the Korean War as platoon sergeant and received the Purple Heart for wounds received in battle. Mr. Gardner worked in oil and gas fields and lived most of his adult life in Bakersfield and Colusa, CA.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles; mother, Ruth; sister, Frances Wheeler and brother, Ronald Gardner. He is survived by his wife, Frances (Whatley) Gardner; sons, Gary and Curtis; daughter, Gay Seaver; 7 grand-children; brothers Dewayne and Jerry Gardner.

Mr. Gardner was a good man with a big sense

of humor. Dearly loved by his wife, children and grandchildren, he will be greatly missed

and fondly remembered.
