Billingsley was born Jan. 24, 1896, in Round Prairie, the son of Samuel and Mary Hulse Billingsley. He married Iva J. Erickson July 1, 1922, in Round Prairie Township, where he farmed until retiring. Ottumwa.
Surviving are one son, Donald; daughter, Dorothy B. Moore; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a sister Thelma Monfort. A son, five brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
