Sean was born in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a 1992 graduate of Lutheran West High School, Westlake. He received his undergraduate degree in philosophy with honors, as well as a law degree from the University of Cincinnati.
Sean was a teacher for Wallace A. Smith Elementary School in Ooltewah. He enjoyed reading, writing and weightlifting.
Surviving are his parents, Gail Hogan, of North Ridgeville, and T. Michael Hogan, of Westlake; sister, Jennifer Owens (Brett) Sonnenschein, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and niece and nephew, Gwendolyn and Owen Sonnenschein.
Memorial service at noon Saturday at Avon Lake United Church of Christ, 32801 Electric Blvd., Avon Lake, Ohio. The Rev. Kelly Brill, pastor, will officiate.
Private burial will be in Fields Cemetery, North Ridgeville, Ohio.
