Memorial services for Dolly Mae Reed, 73, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. Burial will be at a later date in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Reed died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Sept. 14, 1934, in Chetopa, the daughter of Edward Blurton Sr. and Darlene Blurton-Winborn.
She moved to Lawrence in 1958. Mrs. Reed did domestic work for several families in Lawrence and later worked at the Hercules plant before retiring.
She was a member of the Lawrence Baptist Temple.
She married London Reed, Oswego. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Laura Reed, Kansas City, Mo.; three sons, Jeffery, Pennsylvania, and Randall and Eric, both of Lawrence; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Ann; a son, Barry Lynn; two brothers; and eight sisters.
