Katie Henrietta Tuttle was first married to Frederick "Fred" Whedon. Together, they had at least one child, a son named Frederick Jr. who died at only seven days old. Between 1906 and 1910, Katie and Fred moved to Marin County, California, where Fred worked as a gardener. Fred was killed in an accident in 1911, and Katie moved back to Kansas to be close to her family. There, she lived in a boarding house, where she met and married her second husband, William Anderson. Katie had no children who lived to adulthood, but Katie did have one other child, who also died very young. Additional information about this second child would be very appreciated (we have a photo at about two years old, but no other information). Katie was a beloved aunt to many.
