Johnnie Russell Vaughan a Webster County native and Houston, Texas resident, died Monday, Aug. 25,1986 at Memorial S.E. Hospital in Houston.
Memorial services were conducted at graveside in Reeds Chapel Cemetery at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29. Oliver Funeral Home handled arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Katie Davis Vaughan of Houston; three sons, Gene Vaughan of Houston, Dr. Gerry Vaughan of Knoxville, Dr. Johnny R. Vaughan of Somerville, Tenn.; a step-son, the Rev. Don Wells of Houston; a sister, Mrs. Rowena Moore of Livingston, Ala., a brother, Homer Vaughan of Grenada; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was a lifetime member Painters Union Local 130 and a member of the Masonic Lodge.
