Funeral Services Held Sunday For Alfred C. Werner
An illness of several weeks proved fatal to Alfred C. Weren, 62, in Amherst Hospital Friday.
He was an employee of the Cleveland Quarries Co. until he became ill. He was also a railroad man and was affiliated with the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. He was a lifetime resident of Amherst and a member of the Eagles Legion.
Surviving are his wife, Ethel, three sisters, Mrs. Clara Bogler of Elyria, Mrs. Katherine Boardman, of Phenix, Arizona, Mrs. Jennie Corey of Port Rica, Fla.; and a brother, Ralph Werner, Pt. Rica, Florida.
Funeral services were held at the Conrad Zilch Funeral Home Sunday at 3:15 p. m. and Rev. J. H. Bollens, pastor of St. Peters Evangelical-Reformed Church officiated. Burial was made in the Cleveland Avenue Cemetery.

AMHERST -- Alfred C. Werner, 62, died at 6 a. m. at Amherst hospital today after an illness of three weeks.
Born in Amherst, he has lived there all his life. Before his illness he was employed at the Cleveland Quarries company. He was a member of Amherst Eagles and the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.
Surviving besides his wife, Ethel, are a brother, Ralph of Newport Reco, Fla, and three sisters, Mrs. Clara Vogler, Elyria; Catherine Boardman of Phoenix, Ariz., and Jennie Corey of Newport Reco.
The body is at the Zilch Funeral Home where services will be held at 3: 15 p. m. Sunday with Rev. J. H. Bollens officiating. Burial will be made in Cleveland street cemetery.
