NOTE 1: Puritan stone ("death head angel").
NOTE 2: What looks like "Mofes" is in fact "Moses", as the old-style "middle S" dipped below the line, to look much like a modern F
NOTE 3. "Records of the town of Braintree, 1640-1793" confirmed his parents' & spouse's names. The parents names match those given in the death record of Abijah French. Both sons and many siblings were mentioned in the will for the Thomas French who married Elizabeth Belcher and was quickly followed by her in death (when Abijah was 10 and Moses and another brother, Thomas the Jr, were approaching 20).
BIRTH, p.678 "Moses French son of Thomas French and Elizabeth his wife was born y* 16th, February 1700"
MARRIAGE, p.749, "By the Rev. Mr. John Hancock were marryed these following, viz. Moses French & Esther Thayer both of Braintree Dec 24th, 1730"
