When Mary Ann "Mollie" Chedester was born on July 22, 1846, in Rhea County, Tennessee, her father, James Brooks Chedester, was 36, and her mother, Aseneth Hunt Pierce Chedester, was 24 . She married John M Vance on May 2, 1868 in Hawkins County, TN. They came to the Weatherford area about 1892. They had: James Alexander Vance who md Nancy Ann "Tensie" Steele; Margaret Josephine Vance who md James Louis Sneed; Laura Elizabeth Vance who married Thomas Johns and Andrew Marion Kell; Albert Jerome "Rhone" Vance; Henry Clay Vance; Porter Hood Vance; and Claude Warrington Vance who md Emma Rebecca Parker. She died on August 19, 1906, in Weatherford, Parker, Texas, at the age of 60. She is buried in the Greenwood Community Cemetery near Weatherford, Parker, Texas in the Greenwood Cemetery. She was my gr gr grandmother by Cheryl Walters Parr........Vance Family
