Funeral services for James William "Bill" Hicks, 75, of Reeds Spring, will be at 2 p.m. on Aug. 9, 2008, at the 65 Church, in Reeds Spring, with Rev. Joe Wolven officiating. Burial will follow at Eisenhour Cemetery under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home, in Branson. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Aug. 8 at the funeral home.

He died Aug. 5, 2008, in Branson.

He was born Jan. 7, 1933, in Galena, son of Herschel and Ethel Abbey Hicks. He was a mechanic, a lifelong resident of the Reeds Spring area and of the Protestant faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan; his parents; daughter, Tracy Hicks; one grandchild; two brothers; and six sisters.

Survivors include children, Eric Hicks, and Kim Hicks, both of Reeds Spring, Robin Rone, and husband, Brad, of Humansville, Kevin Hicks, and wife, Vicki, of Reeds Spring, and Amy McCabe, and husband, Michael, of Branson; sisters, Vernadeen Cutbirth, and Reva Hill, both of Galena, and Phena Warren, of Reeds Spring; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
