Miranda, 21, of Mermod Street, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008. Services are entrusted to West Funeral Home.
Jeanette Marie Miranda was born Jan. 20, 1987, to Jerry Ralph Miranda and Vickie S. Gomez Alderette in Safford, Ariz. At an early age, her family moved to Farmington, then to Carlsbad in 2004.
Jeanette had an affection for animals. If one needed a home they had one with her. She routinely would catch frogs or lizards and care for them like they were her very own. She treasured her collection of monkeys and movies, but her children were her greatest love. Her spare time was spent on the Playstation II. She kept in touch with her family and friends with her "My Space Page." Jeanette's passion for God was immense and one of her favorite songs was "The Old Rugged Cross".
Survivors include her children: Jazlyn Miranda and Anthony Stalling's; her father, Jerry Miranda of Las Vegas, Nev.; her mother, Vickie S. Gomez Alderete and husband, Ricardo; sister, Misty Alderete; brothers: Jeffrey and wife, Angela Miranda, Jeremy and wife, Luanna Miranda, and Raymond Miranda, all of Carlsbad; nieces and nephews: Jazzary, Mateo, Josiaah and Jeremiah Miranda; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Miranda, Jeremy Miranda, Raymond Miranda, Nikki Gomez, Samuel Mullins, Brandon Rhodes, Frank Orosco and Casey Stalling's.
