He was born in Stanley, NY, the son of Harry and Nellie Baxter. He had one sister, Florence Kane. He married Helen Mary Dunn and had 4 children - Marla, Nancy, Danny, and Harry. He was the only grandson of Clark Baxter of Addison. He always loved the Addison, Goodhue Lake, and Baxter Lake area.
