When her husband Chris died, she was left in December 1919, a young widow with two children and a third on the way.
Her husband's obit only named 2 children, Kenneth and Isabel Ruth. A month later , the 1920 census (in which she had moved in with her parents), she still had only two children, but they were called Kenneth and Elizabeth. In son Kenneth's obit in 1930, his sisters were called Ruth and Claretta
