LOSSIE BURNSED (NEE: RHODEN) - 62

Mrs. Lossie Rhoden Burnsed, 62, wife of James Harley Burnsed, died in the local hospital Monday following an illness of several months. She was a native of Baker County and had spent most of her life here. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Rhoden of Baxter. Survivors are her husband, James Harley Burnsed, Macclenny, two sons, Willard Burnsed, Jacksonville, Nathan Burnsed, Moniac; five daughters, Mrs. Rosie Thomas, Mrs. Edna Sands, Macclenny, Mrs. Lottie Thrift and Mrs. Minnie Lee Johns, Marietta, Georgia, Mrs. Geneva Griffin, Jacksonville; one brother, Grover Cleveland Rhoden, Macclenny, three sisters, Mrs. Magdeline Burnsed, Moniac, Georgia, Mrs Mattie Milton, Macclenny, Mrs. Bashie Crawford, St. George, Georgia. Funeral services were conducted at Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church Wednesday afternoon at 3 P.M. Elders Everett Johns and O.M. Yarborough officiating. Arrangements were in charge of John M. Brinkley, Macclenny. Mrs. Burnsed's health began to fail following the death of her father-in-law, the late J.N. Burnsed about 30 days ago. She developed a heart condition and has been under medical care at the Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital most of the time since. Pallbearer were Jesse Yarborough, Neil Kirkland, J.D. Burnsed, Woodrow Lauramore and Charles Lauramore.
