Verlon Lee Cumbee, 43, of St Charles, Mo., and formerly of Paducah died at 11 pm Tuesday at Barnes Hospital in St Louis, Mo.
He was an employee of the American Air Filter Co., and was a former employee of Illinois Central Railroad here.
Mr Cumbee, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, was engaged in the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs Grace Lyles Cumbee; his mother, Mrs Lucille Cumbee of Paducah; a son, Tommy Cumbee of Louisville; a daughter, Mrs Julia Lee Hall of Louisville; and three sisters, Mrs Carolyn Reed, Mrs Inez Gage and Mrs Louise Joiner, all of Paducah.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The body will be brought to Lindsey Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Verlon Lee Cumbee, 43, St. Charles, Mo. will be conducted at 1 pm Friday at Lindsey Funeral Chapel by Orville Washam and the Rev Joe Gardner. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Mr Cumbee, a former Paducahan, died at 11 pm Tuesday at Barnes Hospital in St Louis, MO.
Pallbearers will be Charles Poores, Bill Lyles, Buzz Schnuck, Leon Choulta, Monty Wellington and Cecil Buchanan.
