Lisa (Kern) Cleveland, 38, of Bloomington, died Monday at Bloomington Hospital.

Born June 13, 1970, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Larry and Betty (Treece) Kern.

She was a homemaker and an EMT first responder, as well as a volunteer firefighter.

She was of the Protestant faith.

Survivors include her parents, Larry and Betty Kern of Bedford; two brothers and their wives, David and Ann Kern, and Dana and Joy Kern, all of Bedford; one sister and her husband, Connie and Joe Cunningham of Switz City; two grandmothers, Mildred Sykes and Iola Kern, both of Bedford; godparents, Ray and Susan Kern, and Shelly Kenworthy, all of Bedford; special friends Jeff Edwards and Bonnie Carter, both of Mitchell; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Pirie Cleveland in July 2008; grandmother Annie Way; and three grandfathers, Dale Kern, Paul Kern and Chester Sykes.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel, with Kenny Bundy officiating.
