Jeffery Robert Neal, 20, passed away suddenly on Monday, Aug. 4, 2008. Jeff was born Nov. 28, 1987, in Farmington to Michael and Joan Neal, and joined big sister, Samantha Neal, in the family.

Jeff met challenges in his life with laughter and passion. He wanted to make a difference in the world by his presence, and spirit. Jeff loved God, his family, friends and his huge dogs. His worldly passions were animals, music and cars, and most of all, football.

Jeff played football at Piedra Vista High School where he graduated in May 2005. He was an all-district, all-state football player during his high school years. He was planning to begin his college career at Eastern New Mexico University this fall.

Jeff always was ready to share a joke with whoever would listen and would be the first one there to cheer you up when you were having a bad day. You would often find Jeff with a guitar in his hands, figuring out how to play new and more challenging songs.

Jeff will be missed by his family and many friends. Life will just not be the same without his presence.
In honor of who Jeff was, his family and friends will host a celebration of life party at The Salvation Army Underground, 319 W. Broadway, in Farmington at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9. Jeans, T-shirts and football jerseys are required.

In lieu of flowers, you can send a contribution to The Salvation Army or the Humane Society.

Jeff is in the care of Brewer, Lee & Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St., in Farmington; (505) 325-8688.
