Angela Corr Perkins, 47, died Tuesday, August 5, 2008, at Margaret's House in Longview, Texas.

She was born December 19, 1960, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, to William E. and Gail Backstrom Corr. Angela was a graduate of North Delta High School in Sardis, Mississippi and of the University of Mississippi Pharmacy School. Although Angela worked as a pharmacist and later as an office manager of the neurology office, her interests and the focus of her life lay in the Christian education of children. She was a strong advocate for the Christian Heritage School and for Christian athletic programs at First Baptist Church of Longview, where she was a member.

Due to ongoing renovations at First Baptist Church, funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 9, 2008, at the Greggton United Methodist Church, 1101 Pine Tree Rd., with Dr. Glen Wilkerson and Dr. Jonathan Bynum officiating. Entombment will follow in Rosewood Park Mausoleum.

Angela is survived by her husband, William D. Perkins, M.D.; a daughter, Laura Perkins; a son, David Perkins; her mother, Gail Corr; a sister, Christy Corr Robinson; and two nieces, Sophie and Emma Robinson.
