Robbins had been employed at the Ball-Band plant for 40 years and retired from the plant's fire department in 1955 because of disability.
He was born in Nevada Mills and was married June 29, 1917 to Tillie Henigsmith in Mishawaka. She died Aug. 28, 1954. Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. Norman L. Burk, with whom he lived; a brother Burdette W. Robbins of South Bend, and a grandson Mark Everett Burk.
Friends may call at the Bubb Chapel after 7 p.m. today until the services there at 3 p.m. Wednesday. Rev. Wilbur C. Wilson, pastor of First Evangelical United Brethren Church will officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
