MARY A. FISHER
Mary A. Fisher was born in Perry county, Ohio, November 13, 1839. Early in life she came to Whitley County, Indiana, and in November, 1859, she was united in marriage to Adam Humbarger. To this union were born three children, all of whom survive, Mrs. Minerva Dawson, Lester and Charles Humbarger. In 1866, the family moved to Marshall County, Indiana, where she spent the remainder of her life. On May 17, 1880, she lost her companion, remaining a widow for about fourteen years and in December, 1893, she was united in marriage to Fredric Kruse. But this union was of short duration and the death angel came to the home again, Mr. Krause dying January 11, 1898. Since that time she has remained a widow. She accepted Christ early in life, united with the church and was a member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church at the time of her demise.
She had been very poor in health several years, and for more than a year she had been an invalid. On the morning of November 14, 1920, she passed away, aged 81 years. She was a devoted mother, loving and sacrificing for her children, neighbor of fine qualities and will be greatl missed by the relatives and friends.
Besides the three children, she leaves one brother, six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren to mourn her departure.
