Survivors include his wife: Treva Bishop Bowman; one daughter: Cindy Davis of Greeneville; three granddaughters and their husbands: Candace and Jack Orr, Shalane Darnell, and Becky and Chris McCandless; one great-grandson: Trey Thompson; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Trixie and Scottie Tarlton and Shirley and Jimmy Bowman, all of Greeneville; one brother and sister-in-law: Kirk and Gail Bowman of Greeneville; one goddaughter: Sierra Hopson; several nieces and nephews; his special aunts and uncles: Ina Cutshall of Greeneville, Nellie and Bill Parman of Huber Heights, Ohio, Lois Morton of Morristown, and Marion "Bud" Bowman of Greeneville.
He was a son of the late Guy D. and Gladys Dixson Bowman, and was preceded in death by two brothers: Dennis E. Bowman and Melville Dixson.
