Glasford - Kent Alan "Whitey" White, age 48, of Glasford, passed away at 5:59 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008, at his residence.
Kent was born Nov. 15, 1959, in Kirksville, Mo., to Carrol and Virginia Jackson White.
Kent married Heather Schutte on June 11, 1994, in Peoria. She survives.
He served on active duty with the U.S. Air Force and retired from the 182nd Airlift Wing in Peoria after 27 years of service as a crew chief.
Kent was a member of American Legion Post 35 in Glasford; Order of the Moose Lodge 1571 in Farmington; and the Glasford United Methodist Church.
Kent is survived by his children, Joshua (Devon) White of Glasford, Seth White of Morton, Zachary White of Morton, Tyler White of Glasford and Bailey White of Glasford; his grandson, Josiah White of Glasford; his twin brother, Keith (Rosa) White of Normal, Ill., and his brothers, Phillip (Melissa) White and Mark White, both of Columbia, Mo.; his sister, Donna (Stu) Becker of Columbia, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.
Kent was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Dale White and David White; and a sister, Joyce Ann White.
Funeral services for Kent will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel, with the Rev. Walter Wilkins officiating. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Smithville Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded at the cemetery by the U.S. Air Force and American Legion Post 35.
