She and Raymond had three children, sons, who all died in the 1940s. The youngest, Harry Edward, died first in July 1942 at age 9 in a drowning accident near home. The oldest, Billy Ray, died next in July 1944 in France serving in the US Army. The middle son, Jack Allen, died in March 1945 on Iwo Jima serving in the US Marines.

Mrs. Beatrice Ketter, 79, Danville, died Tuesday evening, February 10, at Golden Rule Nursing Home, east of Danville. Rev Earl T. Bonham, Danville, United Methodist Church, officiated at the funeral Friday, February 13, at Baker Funeral Home, Danville. Burial was in the Danville South Cemetery. Born in Mellott, Indiana on December 17, 1901, her parents were Smith Allan and Ida (McGee) Parsons. Mrs. Ketter's husband, Raymond, died in 1975. She is survived by a brother, William Parsons, Bluffton.
