mrs orie e pidgeon of centerport road was 77 years of age when she went on to be with the lord. born in the town of sennett she lived in the sennett-weedsport area all her life. mrs pidgeon worked for the aluminum marine hardware of auburn and the port byron foundry, retiring in 1962. she was a former officer for the syracuse branch of the salvation army. she was a member of wall street methodist church. mrs pidgeon was awarded a special membership in the united methodist women by the women`s division of the board of global ministries of the united methodist church. surviving are her husband; herbert pidgeon , two sons; harlow calkins of cayuga and lawrence of auburn. a daughter; mrs alvin smith of auburn; a brother; george behm of auburn, nine grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
