She married Clarence Huff in Hopkins County in 1952. He preceded her in death on July 10, 1975.
Mrs. Huff was a graduate of East Texas State University with a B.S. degree in 1938. She received a Masters degree from the University of Houston in 1958. She was a schoolteacher in the public schools of Texas for 31 years before retiring in 1975. She was a member of the Davis Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include a step-son, Barford Huff of Bethany, Oklahoma; a step-daughter, Joy Plunk of Bakersfield, California; a brother, Clifford Austin Hanson of Beaumont, Texas; and two sisters, Buna Bowers of Irving, Texas, and Louella Sneed of Midland, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
