WW II veteran - perhaps died in service. I saw his grave with the photo and wanted to honor him. He died four days before his 24th birthday. According to his enlistment record, he enlisted on April 3, 1941 in the District of Columbia at Bolling Field Anacostia in the Army Air Corps. He had one year of college, and his civil occupations was listed as Foreman, Laundry or Bookkeeping Machine Operator. He was single without dependents. His height was 76 (presumably inches - so 6' 4") and his weight was 150. I think it is him listed in the 1930 census as living in Tampa, Florida with his mother Carrie and siblings, Williamina, Isabel Scurry, William and what is likely a nephew (listed as grandson of Carrie), Theodore Scurry. He is listed in the Vital Records for Georgia: Deaths, 1919-1998 as dying in the county of "pa" - which could be Paulding. Perhaps Dobbins Air Force Base.
Born in Florida, enlisted in DC, died in Georgia - why is he here in Pennsylvania? I don't know.
