THELMA ELOUISE ATTAWAY THEIS, age 97, went to be with her Lord on June 10, 2008. She was born to Johnnie and Mattie Attaway in Houston on April 22, 1911. She graduated from Tomball High School in 1927 and attended Massey Business College. In 1933, she married A.W. "Allie" Theis. Thelma worked as a bookkeeper at Brautigam's I.G.A. store in Tomball for 27 years. She was a faithful volunteer at the Bethesda Thrift Store. She enjoyed her family and friends, bingo at the Tomball Retirement Center, dominoes, and collecting dolls. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, A.W. "Allie" Theis; her son, A.W. "Butch" Theis, Jr.; her infant son, Clifford Dale Theis; her parents; a brother; a sister; and a great-great-grandson, Bryan Keith Herzog, Jr. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Marie Theis; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Tommy Williams, Millie and David Martin, and Pat and Jim Coon; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to her many caregivers over the past year. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Klein Funeral Home, Tomball. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday at Salem Lutheran Church in Tomball with Pastor Douglas Dommer officiating. Burial will follow in Klein Memorial Park on SH 249
