She was 9 years 11 months and 7 days old when she died. I do not know the cause of death but suspect it could have been scarlet fever. There is no proof of that though.
It must have been a sad day when her parents left Illinois in 1893 to move to Colorado and they had to say good by to their daughter Emma.
