Daughter of CF and Elizabeth 1900 Census shows her being born June 1896, in California. California Death Index shows her dying in San Francisco County, 1949. Bliss is listed with her family 1900-1910 Census in Truckee. 1920 she is living with her husband George and Daughter Sue in Potter Valley, Mendocino County, California. The daughter is 9 months old. In 1930 Bliss was located living at Lake Tahoe, Placer County with her children, Sue, Marilyn and Richard. Bliss died San Francisco County, 23 Sept 1949.

Mrs. Bliss Hinkle Passes on Coast.
Funeral services were held in San Francisco Monday for Mrs. Bliss Hinkle of Tahe City, who died at the family home in San Francisco last Friday according to word received here.
Mrs. Hinkle was born in Truckee, June 6, 1896 and spent most of her life in the Truckee-Tahoe area. Educated at the University of California in Berkeley she taught school in Truckee, Weed, Potter, Elk Grove and finally at Tahoe branch of Placer County High School where she served as principal.
Together with her husband, Dr. George Hinkle she wrote a book "Sierra Nevada Lakes", and re-issued with footnotes "Histor of the Donner Party" written by Mrs. Hinkle's father, C.F. McGlashan of Truckee.
A member of the American Association for University Women she had been active in the Tahoe CIty social and civic affairs. Surviving are her husband, a son Richard, two daughters, Mrs. Sue Enfied and Mrs. Marilyn Meyers and five grandchidren
