Benton - Mrs. Emma Margaret Holmes, 81 years old, of Sikeston and formerly of Benton, died in a Bell City nursing home Monday.
Mrs. Holmes was born June 22, 1885, at Commerce, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Finley. She was married to George Hodgkiss of Sikeston in 1902, After his death, she was married on Aug. 4, 1919, to Mart Holmes of Sikeston. They moved to Benton in 1934.
Mr. Holmes died Jan. 27, 1952, and she returned to Sikeston in May, 1964.
She was a member of the Unity Baptist Church near Benton.
Surviving are a brother, Oliver Finley; 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Bisplinghoff Funeral Home here Wednesday. Burial will be in the City Cemetery at Sikeston.
