B. F. BRIDGES, TEXAS CIVIL WAR VETERAN, IS CALLED BY DEATH
CENTER, Texas, Aug. 19.—B. R. Bridges, aged 87, pioneer resident of Center and Civil war veteran, died suddenly at his home here Thursday about noon. Death was thought to have been caused by a heart attack.
Deceased was widely known throughout Shelby county and East Texas. He was a former postmaster of this city and led a very active and religious life.
Mr. Bridges is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. O. L. McKnight and Mrs. Billie Haughton of Dallas; four sons, Frank and Dr. Ford Bridges, Tulsa, Okla., and W. A. and Zed Bridges of Center.
Funeral services were conducted at the First Methodist church Saturday morning at 10 o'clock, with Rev. J. T. Moore officiating.
