SHATTUCK -- Graveside services for Nellie Jean Wright, 73, Healdton, will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2006, at Shattuck Cemetery.
Born on Jan. 1, 1933, in St. Francis, Kan., to Edd and Lyda Farley DeFries, she died on March 11, 2006, at her home in Healdton. She was preceded in death by a son, John Alan Wright, on Aug. 14, 1969; a twin stillborn daughter, Marie Wright; and her parents.
Jean, a 1952 graduate of Colorado Women's College in Denver, was a rural mail carrier between Healdton, Loco and Comanche during her working years.
She and Zeb Wright were married on March 12, 1954, in Seattle, Wash. Jean was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Longterm illness ended her life on March 11, 2006, one day short of her 52nd wedding anniversary. She will be resting with her departed children in Shattuck.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; four children, Brenda Lyn Johnson, Arnett, Chris Andrew Wright, Evergreen, Colo., Angela Key Cornelsen, Weatherford, Texas, and Zeb V. Wright III "Trey," College Station, Texas; and eight grandchildren.
Spivey Funeral Home will direct services.
