Born on March 28, 1937, in Little Rock, Ark., he died on March 5, 2006, at his Arlington home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anna and Raymond M. Beem Sr.; a daughter, Sharon Beem; and a brother, Donald Beem.
He married Evelyne Eckols on Oct. 1, 2004.
Raymond was well known by his numerous racing fans by his racing stock cars, sailboats and motorcycles. His keen sense of humor will be sorely missed by his family and many friends.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Raymond M. Beem III, Apison, Tenn.; a daughter, Sandra K. Beem, Pohao, Hawaii; a sister, Dorothy Beem Mathes, Ardmore; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth and Camron Beem, Apison, and Jessiah, Lords and Vulcan Beem in Hawaii.
