Shirley Ann Sherrod, 66, Harrisburg, died 5:08 a.m. Friday, Aug. 1, 2008 at Harrisburg Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 4, 2008 at Gaskins-Jones Funeral Home with the Rev. Clifford Barger officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, 2008 at the funeral home.
She was born Dec. 10, 1941 in Carrier Mills to Kenneth Austin and Nina Elizabeth (Headrick) Middleton. On Nov. 1, 1957, she married Charles Daniel Sherrod, who survives.
She was a homemaker and part-owner of American Auto Body and American Karaoke. She was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church and the Eastern Star.
In addition to her husband. she is survived by four sons, Charles Daniel (Lisa) Sherrod Jr., James Michael (Claudine) Sherrod, William Scott (Connie) Sherrod and Dennis Dewayne Sherrod (Brian Mann); one daughter, Nina Rena (Charles) Thompson; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ludene (George) Ewell and Wanda (Floyd) Rotrammel; and close family and friends, Terry and Mickey Gibbons and sons.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Pamela Novy.
