Funeral services were conducted at Mt. Olive cemetery Friday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. for Mrs Nancy Jane Rushing, pioneer Healdton woman. Mrs. Rushing had been confined to her home for the past year. Gentle and kind with those, whom she came in contact. Mrs. Rushing was loved by all who knew her. She will be sadly missed by her friends.

Mrs. Nancy Jane Rushing was born in Alabama, April 26, 1859, and died July 27, 1933 being 74 years, 3 months, and one day of age. In early life, Mrs. Rushing was converted and united with the Baptist church, and remained a true Christian until the end. She is survived by seven sons and one daughter. She was preceded in death by her companion and one daughter. She is also survived by thirty grand children and a host of friends. The services were conducted by Rev. Lon Wilson, of Yukon, with Collier Brothers in charge of burial arrangements. Healdton Herald - August 3, 1933
