John was born July 22, 1919, in El Reno, Okla., to John and Ellen Baughn Wells. He served in the U.S. Army as a sergeant in the 45th Infantry Division, 180th Infantry Regiment, during World War II. John married Anna Marie Mancuso on June 28, 1942. He has been an Arlington resident for the past 54 years. John retired from the trucking and transportation industry.
Survivors: Beloved wife of 64 years, Ann Marie Mancuso Wells; daughters, Mary Ellen Doskocil and husband, Jim, of Italy, and Esther Ann Chambliss and husband, Wayne, of Fort Worth; sister, Jenima Clark of Conroe; grandchildren, David, Micheal, John and Ronnie; and great-grandchildren, Taylor, John, Meagan and Rylie.
