Josea Claude Mackie, resident of Fontana and California for 11 years, died Wednesday at a San Bernardino hospital. He was 59 years old and a native of Niangua, Mo.
He leaves one brother, Oda Mackie of Orange; two sons, Herbert, of Nevada, and Earl, of New Jersey, and two daughters, Mrs. Vera Miller of Richmond, California, and Nada Mackie, of Nevada.
Mr. Mackie was a member of Good Hope lodge, F. & A.M., St. Louis.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Ingold Mortuary chapel, Rialto, with Fontana lodge, F. & A.M., in charge. Burial will follow in Park cemetery, Rialto.

The funeral of Hosea Mackie was held at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon in the Ingold funeral chapel in Rialto, with the Fontana, Masonic lodge No. 653 in charge of the service. Mrs. Ronald Ingold, accompanied by Evelyn Ryan Kircher, sang two numbers, "Lead Kindly Light" and "Jesus Savior Pilot Me." Pallbearers were James Imlay, R. B. Hamilton, H. D. Wyatt, M. Elledge, David R. Doncy and Elliott Brett. Interment was In Rialto Park cemetery.
