Funeral services for Mr. James M. Swafford, age 92, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Sunday, July 2, 2006, at the Lincoln Medical Center, conducted Tuesday, July 4, 2006 in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Glen Belcher officiating. Burial in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Swafford was a native of Rutherford Co., TN, son of the late Morgan & Bessie Swafford, a minister, a member of the West Fayetteville Church of Christ, and he loved to golf and read the Bible.
Along with his parents, Mr. Swafford was preceded in death by his wife: Idabel Swafford and 1 son: James Marion Swafford.
Survivors include 3 daughters: Barbara Poulston of Richmond, VA, Donna Cook of Richmond, VA, Cynthia Roach of Petersburg, TN; 1 son: John Swafford of Hilton Head Island, SC; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
